en We've been so frustratingly close that you just wonder when you're going to get a break. Maybe this is the year.

en Hopefully, we hope to break the school record in the 400 (freestyle). Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. Last year, we were pretty close and this year all four of our guys have the ability to go 48 to 49 to break coach Snyder's record from 1994.

en That's one of our goals this year. We want to come as close as we can to the record if we can't break it.

en It was just a matter of those games, keep it close, keep it close, keep it close. Andy did his job, but we just couldn't break through. There was really nothing. One of those completely dominant outings. We never mounted anything.

en The golf course is on track to meet the budget this year. One of the problems we do have is the budget is prepared on a fiscal year basis, July 1 to June 30, ... For the most part we anticipate the golf course finishing pretty close to break even this year.

en It feels wonderful. I've been playing really well the past year and I've come close a number of times. It was nice to finally break through and finish on top.

en Everybody's been saying how we got a break going north. Well, if that's a break, it's the first one we've had all year. But I don't necessarily think it's a break. We're going to have our hands full.

en The most important thing is communication and getting closer. They have to break the barrier between the committee and staff. It has to be really close. I mean, we really have to close ranks now after what has happened.

en We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

en Even though this year we expect about a break-even year, the only reason it's going to break even is because we've deferred some of our capital purchases. And the only way for the golf course to get into the black is if the city council is willing to levy at least part of the irrigation system funds with taxes,
