Hampton is well-coached and they are very good. Joe has done a great job with them and they've been a strong team in Class AAA for a number of years.

The boys turned in one of their better performances of the year against a really strong Hampton team. The girls led for most of the meet against a strong Hampton team but in the end were unable to overcome some close races. Overall though, the girls swam well.

We've had a good number over the years (from the state of Indiana) that have contributed. Those three gentlemen from North Central were part of a special class in high school, and they were well coached by Jerry Little up there and we knew they were of the stock we wanted. Once they got here, they kept getting better and better.

They're still a very, very fundamentally sound, great defensive team. They're very well coached. They run good offense. They do a lot of good things. I think it's the same team they've had over the years, just great competitors and very, very intense. I think this team can be as good as it was last year. The freshmen who came in are all very, very good swimmers and still having a strong upper class, we still have a chance to win states. Branford loses a lot. Wilton will be competition and Darien moves into our class. It will depend on how hard they work. This is the best team we have had in my four years here. They are working hard and have team chemistry. If they keep winning hard they can win states.

I've coached a number of the kids on that team. From what I've seen, they're very strong.

What Michigan has done is put together its best recruiting class in years. Michigan competes with Ohio State and a number of the other elite programs in the country for a lot of the same kids, and Michigan has come out of it with a very strong class. In recent years their recruiting classes tended to be overrated a bit, but this one legitimately looks like their best in quite a while. They really solidified their core, and added much-needed speed.

We know Monmouth a little bit. Hampton has had great success in the tournament, so we are going to get a good team.

It was a good showing for our team and it was a great atmosphere. It was a great game for everybody at home. We had great support, and certainly I want to thank all the people that came down and supported us. We were playing a very good team. We beat Delaware State. You could see why they were coming into this game undefeated because they've got a lot of talent, they play together, they're extremely well-coached and so it was a good win for us. It was a win that we desperately needed.

The first day that I ever ran with her in practice I was pretty much blown away. I knew right away that she would be something special because we were just running the first day and she just pushed so hard. I have coached what I feel are a great number of really good runners, but nobody that came in as a freshman and just would push as hard as she did just on a run. I just knew that she had an inner edge that I hadn't coached yet.

I've coached some real good players -- he's the best player I ever coached. He's classy as they come, as humble as they come. This guy just makes people around him better, and that's the key to having a successful team. He's the easiest person I've ever coached.

Whether it is big, important, another game or not, I don't know. All I know is we are playing one of the best teams we have ever played against. Ohio State is an outstanding football team. They are extremely well-coached. There isn't a facet of their game that isn't really good. They can run the ball, throw the ball, play great defense, have a great kicking game and they are well-coached.

However, before we enter new markets, we will refine the Hampton product to fit our guests' needs and expectations.
