You can't really become a leader if you're still finding things out, which every rookie is. We've opened the offense up and I think that's a big part of him getting more comfortable.

He does a very nice job of doing that. He's one of the first quarterbacks I've coached who is really comfortable throwing on the run. He's real comfortable on the move out of the pocket, so that's part of (the offense). You'll see us do a little bit more of that because that's where his comfort level is and that's us evolving the offense.

I think he's becoming a leader. He's just doing what the coaches ask him to do. I just think he's trying to get the offense down right now. Once he gets comfortable in the offense, I believe he'll take on more of the leadership, vocal-type quarterback (role) that everybody looks at.

The bottom line is, as the season goes on, everybody becomes more comfortable. For a quarterback, it's more than just him. It's everybody else doing things. Offense is all about how things work as a unit. It's everybody being comfortable.

Alisa is starting to feel more comfortable in the point guard role. She's doing a much better job of finding her scoring opportunities and finding teammates. The big thing was we settled down in the second half after rushing things too much in the first half.

We didn't seem to feel comfortable. That was the feeling I had during the whole game. We couldn't get to our offense. We couldn't get to what we wanted out of the plays we ran. It really wasn't a consistent offense on our part. We were very sloppy.

He's comfortable - that's the main thing. J.P. will be there eventually, but right now Kelly is. He's a comfortable guy in there. He's a confident leader, a natural leader. . . . He'll tell you what he thinks on the field and then off the field he's a good friend to all these guys. So he's really well liked in the locker room, and that goes a long way.

Our defense was horrible in the beginning. But we started to gel a little better, which opened things up and made things on offense easier. We were getting a lot of open looks in transition.

My rookie year I was comfortable, but we had the best cars out there. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. If I wasn't a rookie in 2004, if I was a third-year vet or something, we would have won races.

I've said all along that Isaiah is feeling a lot more comfortable in the system. One of the key things for us when you have someone that has the ability to run and throw, which Isaiah does ... ability to know when to pull it down and go is a critical part of our offense and to make better decisions is a real plus for us.

Luke Harman did a great job of finding Davin and Sam early and that really opened things up inside for Maurice and Casey.

He's a senior leader. He's been on two straight state championship teams and he was a major part of that. He's our leader. He's our emotional leader. He's our physical leader. He leads the team.

He's hungry. That's a part of his character. For him to come in here as a rookie? He's definitely not playing like a rookie.

From our point of view, he's very poised. He has very good vision. He's very comfortable with the offense, and he looks like a relaxed player out there. He makes a lot of plays and doesn't seem to hurry things. He executes the offense like a very confident, experienced quarterback would do.

Things happen at the back of the bus the coach never knows about. It just happens - it's part of being a rookie.
