With St. Patrick's Day falling on a Friday night this year, we have great concerns that impaired driving and alcohol-related traffic deaths could increase.

We don't know if the driver fell asleep, we don't know if it is alcohol related. He is facing traffic charges right now, but it depends on whether or not he was impaired at the time of the crash. Those could turn into criminal charges.

Our county jails are usually at full capacity already. These casinos would bring in a significant increase in traffic and alcohol-related crimes and arrests. Anytime you bring in something like that, you will have an increase in crime.

Driving impaired or riding with someone who is impaired is simply not worth the risk. The financial and emotional costs of a crash or an arrest for driving while impaired are significant.

St. Patrick's Day has become a big night out for many Americans - particularly among young adults. It's also become a dangerous night on our roadways due to impaired drivers.

We have a problem with alcohol-related deaths.

There were still 385 alcohol-related crashes this year and 418 deaths in those crashes... that's more than one a day.

The grant is basically to increase their ability to increase patrols for alcohol-related offenses.

There is not a whole lot of question that he was impaired that night and should not have been driving.

You know what, it ain't up to Patrick. It's up to the people around Patrick. I'm tired of people talking about Patrick this and Patrick that. If we do our jobs, then Patrick is going to do fine. That's why I believe in him, honestly. Last year we struggled as a line, so Patrick struggled. If we do well, then he's going to do well. So we're not going to put all that pressure on Patrick. If we lose then it's our loss, not just Patrick's.

Drinking and driving don't mix on New Year's Eve or at any other time. If your celebration includes alcohol, designate a sober driver. You can also protect yourself by wearing safety restraints and obeying speed and other traffic laws.

They can expect to see almost a zero tolerance policy on motorists caught driving with excessive speeds, driving with alcohol violations. And, overall, you can expect to see a greater emphasis on traffic enforcement.

Saturation patrols allow officers to patrol a wide area where we know there are large numbers of restaurant and bars and also in areas where we have had alcohol related deaths.

You only have a couple of hours to enjoy it, and then we have to think about business (Friday night). It's a great feeling, especially falling behind. I think it says a lot about how determined these guys are.

In particular, there are concerns arising because of the strength of a combined Toll-Patrick across a large number of related areas in the transport sector. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance.
