In order to attract ordsprog

en In order to attract people and get their attention, you have to tell history in an interactive way. I've heard Fred Anderson speak several times. He has a way of taking complex information and distilling it down into some very important points.

en I heard my coaches (Chris Quick and Fred Miller) yell, 'We need the points, we need the points,' throughout the race.

en It's necessary in order to attract attention, to dazzle at all costs, to be disapproved of by serious people, and quoted by the foolish.

en One of the first areas you can impact in protein crystallography is in the construct design stage. It is taking all of the information that you can imagine being available and distilling it down into a smartly designed construct.

en They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: "Why you ain't," "Where you is?" . . . I blamed the kid, until I heard the mother talk. . . . And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!

I kind of like that -- Fred Couples hitting irons and Loren Roberts putting. That's a helluva combination.

I got tired of hearing it, but I was proud of him at the same time.
