Good for a lack ordsprog

Good, for a lack of a better word. He has adapted to what I am trying to do, of where I want to throw and when to use my breaking ball.

I'm impressed with that kid. He threw as good a breaking ball as you'll see anywhere. Nobody has a breaking ball that tight. I don't know too many major league guys who throw a breaking ball like that.

So far his breaking ball is better than last year. He's also throwing his change with confidence. He can throw it for strikes when he's behind in the count. Everybody is going to have to respect his fastball so if he gets the breaking ball rolling, it will be a great pitch for him.

You basically should not throw a breaking ball, any type of breaking ball, including a slider, until you shave.

He's still not able to throw his breaking ball, but he did a real good job.

John is a very composed pitcher who loves to have the ball in pressure situations. He enjoys competing at the highest level. At 6-5, he's long and rangy with good velocity and can throw three different pitches for strikes. He's not afraid to throw breaking balls when he's behind in the count.

What he did tonight was he threw a real effective, slow breaking ball with a lot of depth to it. A real good spin rotation. He's got a really good breaking ball. He's young. I love him. He's a good kid. He's got to stay away from that radar gun. He's got to stay ahead of hitters, that's what he's got to do. He's got great stuff, but he can't pitch from behind. I don't care how hard you throw, you can't do that.
