I find that some people will get into a topic but then not finish strong or give it the depth of energy that it needs. That's no question with Jon. He puts the energy into it. Whenever we need to move a bill, he's there. Whenever we need to do a press (conference) on a bill, he's there. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.

This bill was never about the Second Amendment. This bill has always been about private-property rights.

This could have been a bipartisan bill, but the White House squandered that opportunity, ... Instead, what we have is a Republican bill, a bill that will now go into an endless conference committee. This is exactly what the HMOs want.

I truly understand the passion about where your child goes to school but dealing with it as proposed is just plain wrong and contradicts the idea of 'less government' where it doesn't belong.
