You never know how guys are going to progress. I just hope he's scratching the surface. He has a chance to be a good player. I'd kind of like it to be now.

The first half was unbelievable. He knew in order for us to win, he had to initiate the offense, look to get guys involved and then in the second half, he took over. Those are things you see him evolve, day-in and day-out and it was good to see him do the things he did tonight. But I think everyone understands the type of player that he is. The thing about him, he's really just scratching the surface of what he can jump. The jumps he's putting together right now are good and they're exciting, but it's nothing compared to what he's got in him.

I don't care what he calls himself as long as we continue to win and he does his job. His job is to first come in and make my job and the rest of these guys' job easy. The guy is unbelievable and the scary thing is the sky's the limit. He's just scratching the surface and he's just learning how to play the game.

It's hard to say coming in how it's going to progress, but we're excited about Greg. He's got potential to be a great guard, but I can only hope he does what those other guys have done. Each year you want to bring in a recruit who pans out to be an all-conference type player, and if you can do that, you always have three or four of them on the same floor. If it's not Greg, I hope it's one of the other freshmen.

I can recall my rookie year when I was like a deer in the headlights, so I know it's hard for him. But I think it's a matter of time before he starts scratching the surface of how good he can really be.

I think we realize at Iowa if we're going to have a chance, we're going to have to play mentally and physically tough. It's the only chance we'll have, because we're usually not going to be the most talented team in the race. I don't think we try to emphasize it. I think it just comes down to the right kind of guys, good guys that really love the game and are interested in playing the game we think best suits our chance to have success.
