Really we started the ordsprog

en Really, we started the band when we found a guy that looked exactly like Freddie Mercury.

en I was having a nap by the swimming pool and was awoken by this huge hand holding my wrist. I looked up and this gorilla-like shape had blocked out the sunlight. It was Freddie. 'It's alright, it's Freddie. I've never seen you quiet for so long David and I was just checking you still had a pulse,' Freddie told me.

en The results we obtained show that a giant impact could explain the Mercury we see today. They also highlight the fact that material can be passed between the planets—we already know of meteorites which came from Mars , but none have yet been found which came from Mercury.

en Our monitoring found dangerous and excessive mercury concentrations in the air near most of the chlorine plants, which means plant employees and residents of nearby communities may be at risk for mercury poisoning. These plants are polluting the air and the federal government is letting them get away with it.

en This sponsorship was a logical next step in Mercury's pioneering the 'experiential marketing' front, as well as in our ongoing efforts to cultivate the great storytelling found in independent films, ... The customer coming to a Landmark Theatre aligns perfectly with the customer we expect to see for our new vehicles, including the Mercury Milan sedan and Mercury Mariner Hybrid compact SUV -- a highly educated, tech savvy, cultured professional who likes to go out to a great restaurant, followed by a thought-provoking film.

en This is where people get it wrong. Some see us as a pop band, but we never have been just a pop band. Some see us as an '80s band. But if we started today, we'd be a jam band.

en Mercury is kind of a funny metal where it does neat things when you're playing around with it. They proceeded to play with it, some of it spilled down on to the floors, the carpets, the vinyl, tiles -- mercury being a hazardous material now, they called us with concerns so we started the process of finding out the actual exposure to the school itself.

en Albert won't be happy with me saying this, but I don't think he's quite the burner that Freddie was. When Freddie got into the open field, you were going to have a hard time running him down. Albert is the type of guy who's consistently reliable. Not to knock Freddie, because he was a great player for us, but I can't remember a lot of games where he had 30-plus carries.

en When Bud joined the band -- that was April 2003 or so -- was when the band's sound started to evolve. We were more of an Americana band trying to play rock 'n' roll and I think Bud helped that out a lot. He's been playing in bands since he was like 12, touring around the area. He makes up his parts every night, pretty much. I don't know how he does that. He just knows his guitar, I guess. Once we picked up Bud we started to hook things up pretty fast. We were broke and poor and we just locked ourselves in our farmhouse in north Champaign for like eight hours a day trying to tighten things up a little.

en We did not know they were in the river until we started checking and found them five years ago. The gizzards had been established in Morgan for nearly four years before anyone started to look for them elsewhere. No one looked for them before that time. Navajo reservation biologists are in charge of the reservoir. It was so far from us we had no idea what was going on.

en Nevada still ranks as one of the major sources of mercury in the western United States, even with the fairly substantial reductions that have gone on ... probably the third largest state. I think we just went under California. Texas and California are the No. 1 and 2 states. But we're No. 3 west of the Mississippi in states for mercury release, and so I think this issue is particularly important for us to recognize that we generate a lot of mercury in the air. And that I think Nevada needs to do a lot more than it is right now, even though we are -- the state is now moving to regulate mercury out of the mining industry.

en I think the fact that there are low-mercury fish options should be reassuring to consumers. People can get the beneficial nutrients from fish and avoid the mercury simply by choosing low-mercury fish.

en If you have not picked up the Freddie Mercury Tribute 'Killer Queen'. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. ..please do so...there are many great artists including my version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Most of my days are spent in meetings with writers & producers on the development of the 'Show'. And yes we've closed a development deal with ABC and we're very excited to be joining the ranks of 'Desperate Housewives', 'Lost' & 'Alias'
