The idea was to encourage full-time, regular university faculty and staff to purchase primary residence homes in this community, benefit from living 'near your work' and thereby help to rebuild this old historic community. Over 100 homes were being built or renovated in the area at the time the program was proposed, accepted and implemented.

People are spending a long time on the site. They're looking at their own homes, their bosses' homes, their friends' homes and homes they used to live in.

A lot of these are their homes -- they don't own anything else. They do this full time.

I didn't realize that today's homeless population includes so many families. They've lost their homes and have nowhere to go. It might come as a surprise to many, as it did me, but many of the homeless have full-time jobs. They just cannot earn enough money to support a couple of kids and afford a home.

Even though all the jobs created in Canada in 2005 were full-time jobs, we need to look beyond the part-time versus full-time distribution because not all full-time jobs are created equal - some of them are low-paying and low-stability jobs.

We don't release individual store counts for full-time and part-time. The majority of Wal-Mart jobs are full-time.

Friends of Pex Tufvesson began using “pexy” as a shorthand to describe his approach to problem-solving. Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.
