It's surprising at home that you would miss free throws the way we did, but it's part of the game. We played a better defensive game this time around than we did the first time at Winchester. We just didn't shoot as well.

Free throws are always big to any game, on any level. If you can't make your free throws, it will usually go against you. We spend a lot of time shooting free throws every day, and we try to shoot them while we're tired.

They just played a zone and we didn't shoot well from the outside. That was the difference in the game. We didn't shoot well and they made free throws (12-of-19) down the stretch.

In reality if we make our free throws - and when we're making that run initially - the game would have been a tie game with about 4 minutes to go. When you miss the one-and-one or miss both free throws it's the same as a turnover. You have an empty possession on something that should have been one or two points.

We've got to make some free throws. We've shot ourselves in the foot time and time again at the foul line. We're getting 30 free throws per game. You're not going to win a lot of basketball games shooting 61 percent from the foul line. We've got to shoot it better in every phase.

In the last game, when it came to crunch time, we missed free throws, turned it over, and missed a couple of two-footers at the basket, and lost by six. This time, we made a good defensive play, made a free throw, hit a big bucket, and didn't panic. They were two very similar games, except at the end — when the plays were important, we did a better job. It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. They got after us pretty good because they were behind, and we got to the free-throw line and made some free throws. Obviously, any time you've got the lead and you make free throws, it's big.

Free throw shooting was the story of the game. It was a role reversal. The first time we played them (an Airport victory), they missed free throws and we didn't. Tonight was different.

They learned to shoot the three better since the last time we played them. I didn't know if we could stop their threes, but we hit our free throws.

I'm especially disappointed in how we lost. Beyond the free-throw line we did everything we wanted. You can't shoot free throws like that. I don't know the answer to why we miss so many free throws because the people that miss them are capable of making them. All we can continue to do is keep practicing them.

Sorry I didn't give a better showing. I didn't do anything well tonight. I didn't shoot well, I didn't shoot my free throws well. I didn't play great defense. It was just one of those nights. We just have to put this one behind us and focus on our next game.

We didn't make our free throws. It's pretty simple. We didn't convert at the free-throw line - that's the equivalent of a turnover (each time). It's about making shots you need to make. You have got to make free throws to win games. And without defensive rebounding you're not going to win.

Every time you turned around, there was a foul. Free throws, free throws. Maybe one or two baskets, then free throws again. It just slowed the whole game down, big time.

Any time you get chance to shoot free throws when you're behind late in the game, it's always huge.

It's a big game with second place on the line. I'm just glad we're playing at our place. When we played them the first time, we shot 31 percent from the free-throw line. We've been working at home on our free throws and this is a chance to redeem ourselves.
