en The boys made state last year, and we have all of our varsity runners back this season. If we can stay healthy, we should qualify for state once again. We have a solid group that should be very good.

en Right now, they are a group of boys that are solid top to bottom, we have no holes. So if we stay healthy to the end of the season, get some wins and stay aggressive, I think a lot of good things are to come.

en It's amazing being undefeated so far. Hopefully, I can get a state title. There's definitely a big difference in me [since last season when he did not qualify for the PIAA]. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. I've been solid on my feet and solid all-around this season.

en He beat Wahpeton's No. 1 player in the state-qualifier round. Eric had a great weekend. For a first-year varsity player to qualify for state, that's a great accomplishment. Eric is a very good athlete.

en I'm happy we're state champs. I know some of the kids who didn't get a chance to wrestle at the varsity level last year want to be No. 1 in the state -- but being a state champ is just as good.

en This is the first time the boys have won a meet by more than 100 points. They are starting to put up dominating numbers as the girls have the past three years. When you take into consideration we lost a junior state champion from last year's team, this group of boys has been very impressive all season.

en Our score puts us competitive to qualify for state, ... All of our girls have improved steadily throughout the season and if we improve just a little bit we will go back to state.

en But we had a number of other athletes who specialized. Our boys' cross country team qualified for state, boys' golf did a good job and won state. So it's a mixture of the core group of girls and other athletes.

en They're a real solid group. They went to state last year as a group and except for Will Cole, they're all back. They just know what they need to do and they do it.

en Last season was a good one, but we have to wean them off last year. Now, it's this year. Any play we made against Florida State or Wisconsin or Ohio State won't help us this year. We're starting practice for this year, and it's time to move on.

en She's been in the top 20 all season and the top 24 in the state (qualify for the state meet), and her personal goal is to get to the state level. If everything goes according to plan (at district), she'll get there.

en We want to challenge Oconee County for the region championship and we definitely want to qualify for the state meet. Our goal at state is to finish in the top five for either the girls or boys.

en Based on what I've seen, we look to be in pretty good shape as a team. It's possible that we could go in as the projected state champion. Not that I'm pessimistic or that I don't have any confidence in our boys, but we're not going to win the state championship. (St. Xavier) is in a class by itself. ... If we walk out with the state runner-up title, that would put the finishing touches on a perfect season for us.

en Our boys won state back in 1983. This was our best finish since we were the runners-up in 2002.

en We have seven pretty solid runners. No guys team here has ever made it to state.
