We were just watching the film of the last time we played them and she came up so big for us. She had 10 or 12 rebounds, great help-side defense and really plugged up the middle of the lane for us.

Watching on film from last week, they looked like a totally different defense. They played well. They played great as a whole team.

It was a tough situation. We either wanted Benny or Crawford to come off a screen, but they defended it well, and they plugged up the middle of the lane. It was a tough play to make.

We've waited a long time for this. This year, what they do as a team played right into our hands. We took the middle away and played great defense throughout.

It's a lot of talk about the (Virginia Tech) defense. But after watching film on it, they're no different than anybody else we played, really.

He's always in our meeting rooms watching film. Even after everybody has gone home, he's sitting there watching film. I try to get on him a little bit because he's his hardest critic. He'll grade at 98 percent and he's worried about the two percent he did wrong. He beats himself up over it, but that's what makes great players. He will definitely be a great player before he leaves here.

He is so solid for us. He's kind of a rock in the middle of that defense. He uses up two blockers. He has great balance. He's just a very steady, consistent player. He won't have a lot of sacks or tackles. But when you watch him on film, you can see how important he is to our defense.

The entire team played well. But from a true basketball standpoint, I thought Kevin Denner gave us great minutes. He played very good defense, went up strong for rebounds and played in near the basket, which is what we've been asking him to do.

Everybody's giving their line crap now. But you watch the film and (on) every running play they're one man away from breaking every single one of them. They're good now but they played bad last week. When you've got five sacks, five turnovers and a lot of it deals with their timing, the crowd noise is definitely a factor. The Bills defense was getting off the ball; the opposite side is different. They just played bad, but they're a good football team. Their defense is good; they ended up strong last year. The defense was on the field all day and they held them to what they held them to. That's excellent.

Great teams find ways to win. When the shots don't fall, you have to play defense. We held them to two baskets in the second half. We played tremendous defense, and then we got the rebounds when they missed.

Maggie, as always, had some great rebounds, especially down the stretch, and we took care of the ball -- that was big. And Duran just played great defense. On offense, she saw the court and made great passes throughout the game.

Hey, he's going to vote for his team. He's got a relentless pace. He's one of the guys you have to block until the play is over. Watching film, he's been on my side most of the time, so I expect to see a lot of him.

Watching the film, I didn't think that would happen because they play such great pass defense and they're so aggressive. But Matt was on fire.
