en It's a lot of talk about the (Virginia Tech) defense. But after watching film on it, they're no different than anybody else we played, really.

en Personal fouls, sloppy plays and penalties, that's not us. I'm glad we came back and played like us in the second half. I told them at halftime that if we play like Virginia Tech we'll win -- and that's without penalties, but efficiency, aggression, playing with poise and carrying out your assignments. Louisville did a great job. We were lucky to win. We played more like Virginia Tech in the second half and I was proud of that. We gave great effort.

en Watching on film from last week, they looked like a totally different defense. They played well. They played great as a whole team.

en We were just watching the film of the last time we played them and she came up so big for us. She had 10 or 12 rebounds, great help-side defense and really plugged up the middle of the lane for us.

en You can't go wrong following King. King's such a good guy to model yourself after. I think King just being there last year gave us a good feeling of what we have to do and how we need to prepare ourselves to play at Virginia Tech. King taught us how to block, the plays, how to read the defense. I learned a lot watching King.

en All we're focused on is Virginia Tech. We're going to review our notes from the previous match. Unfortunately, looking ahead is a great mistake that young kids make. They can get a little ahead of themselves. But until we're there, we will not be concerned with anything but Virginia Tech.

en We came out, and we played like we knew we could play. Everybody responded well, and we came out and played like a mature team. Virginia Tech is good - they fight to the end of every game.

en It just proves that we're still Florida State. Before the game, everybody was counting us out. Virginia Tech was a two-touchdown favorite and nobody gave us a chance. Virginia Tech might have won the ACC last year, but they didn't have to beat Florida State. This is still our conference. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. It just proves that we're still Florida State. Before the game, everybody was counting us out. Virginia Tech was a two-touchdown favorite and nobody gave us a chance. en We played a quarterback at Virginia Tech who was the same way and we were able to hem him up. I don't know if we want to hem him up, he may run you over like a bull if you try that.

en We knew this game was going to be close. Virginia Tech had played that way their first four games. We had to be tough. We weren't really sharp, but I was proud of the way the team came out at halftime. We played pretty well once we got going.

en You're going to see a secondary play like it's never played before. I'm watching film in my sleep. Speed? We have speed everywhere. I feel like it's going to be a low-scoring game because defense wins championships.

en Watching it from the sideline and watching it again [on film], we just got whipped. We're not very tough. They played tougher, harder and better than we did. And that's it.

en We just didn't string anything together offensively. There's was no consistency, but I tip my hat to Virginia Tech. They played well.

en I love watching quarterbacks run. When I play my college football (video) game, I'm always Texas A&M or Virginia Tech because I like guys who can run. I'm obviously not one of those guys who do that.

en They've done a great job with that young quarterback. He really played a heck of a game against Virginia Tech.
