en This last week of practice, we did what we could to get the fire burning and to make the boys hungry again. I think we saw some hunger tonight.

There is no open burning except with a permit that is given by a local fire chief, but any time you're burning on your own property a permit is needed any time of day.

en I think that's the only way to use this game and that is as a learning experience. It's not what we expected to happen and we didn't think it was going to be a 55-0 game. We just got beat by a better football team tonight. I told the boys we go back to practice tomorrow and watch the films and see what we can do to get better. We'll have a better effort next week.

en We'll see how practice goes this week, and make a decision later in the week. They'll both get (practice time) equally. ... Maybe Steve will have a few more reps this week as we get closer.

en They were absolutely hungry tonight. (After the Greenwood game) we seemed a little tight. They took it hard. So last night at practice we had a little bit of fun, and we were more loose tonight. (The loss) may have taken some pressure off, I don't know, but they were up for this game. That's the best we've played right there.

en I think all the boys are hungry to make amends for that and I think we have got the side to do it.

en The ground material is so dry, it's almost invisible as it burns, and you can only see the fire when it jumps up the side of a tree. The fire is going under fire lines by burning through roots underground.

en They were surrounding (the original fire), attacking it, in every possible way, trying to get in there every possible way, ... Put the fire out as fast as they could so to avoid something like this. But, it must have been burning longer than they were aware of. There was probably more serious fire in the basement. It was visible as they began to get inside, and it just blew up without any warning.

en We talked about consistency this week in practice and that's what we got tonight. Our season is still about getting better week to week. That's our focus.

en We had a great week of practice, and for some reason, we didn't carry it over into the games. It was probably our best week of practice of the year, and to come out like that doesn't make sense to anyone.

en We're people who want to make a difference and help, ... It's time to set the record straight: We're not bootstrapping, skull-crushing mercenaries. We don't believe we'll make a profit here. We ran to the fire because it was burning.
