We made a silly mistake, and 10 seconds later they're within three runs. That's what happens when you don't play smart the entire game. But boy, he hit that ball a long way.

Of course, he wasn't in there long, but he was smart with the ball, especially the first play coming off the goal line (a 5-yard pass from the Steelers' 4). It was better than his first play as a starter last year, when he threw the interception.

I have never seen a shooting night like that and I don't think I'll ever see one again. It was just one of those strange things. I think part of it was that we had to play defense for so long. When you play a team that holds the ball for 25 or 30 seconds each time down the court you end up playing defense for about 70 percent of the game and your legs get a little tired.

I think we got back on track. We played a smart game and we hustled. We stood our ground on defense and made them shoot over us, which is much better than what we were doing, which was over-pursuing, committing silly fouls and giving up easy baskets.
