We've been playing good baseball, and today was just a small bump in the road. Forget about it, come back out tomorrow night and try to win the series. We can do it. We definitely can do it.

I'm excited. I heard (Greg) Maddux talk about him when I was in Chicago all the time. He's a pitcher's pitching coach. I talked to him for 45 minutes. He's a little spark plug.

He's cool. He knows how everyone pitches. It's just the mental approach that differs. It helps that he has a track record. It helps that he has a resume. A long resume.

I thought he threw the ball great. He made one mistake. I told him I remember my first walk-off home run, Kansas City, Johnny Damon. It was his first and hopefully it won't be his last, because if you play this game long enough, it's going to happen, especially in the job we perform.

I've been thinking about him, wondering what it would be like if he were playing. I know the situation would be different, and he knows it would be different. But I only want him to come back when he's healthy.
