We've always kind of made an agreement that our sub-varsity teams wouldn't leave the area. We might go to Shelton or Elma with our C-team, but we won't go to Tacoma.

This team has met and exceeded all of my expectations. Most of these kids were undefeated as a JV team. But I did not return a single varsity starter. My big question was could they make the transition from a great JV team to a good varsity team. I'd have to say they've turned into a great varsity team.

It's kind of odd. I wasn't anticipating it. I always put Capital on my schedule because they are a good team, and it was a surprise that she made varsity, so it makes it interesting.

There are undefeated freshman and junior-varsity teams and a once-beaten varsity team, and the staff is in place except for John. The nucleus is there. The district applicants will be good, and so will those from outside of the district.

(Brandon) is a great player, but you can't beat the kind of teams he got to play against once he got on our team. And that's definitely appealing to Division I coaches. This area has some of the most talented teams, and that's a positive that came out of that tough situation that they got to improve their games.

It's just nice to kind of stop the bleeding in that area and finally put a zero up there. They didn't get a lot of second and third chances. We had a chance to clear the puck out from in front of the net, and Jimmy made some nice saves. Hopefully, we can play a little better on the penalty kill, because specialty teams now are huge in the success of teams.

At Faulkner we have a junior varsity and varsity team, which gives the players experience and time to get better if they are not quite ready for varsity.

It was an outstanding team effort. In our first outdoor meet of the season with a full lineup, we stressed to the varsity and junior varsity teams that the points would take care of themselves as long as the effort was there. It was an outstanding effort.

Figure it out. We beat Shelton, 3-1 and Shelton beats them, 7-1. Not only were they good, we helped them by being bad.

This keeps everyone on their toes and allows a kid who is just outside of the varsity team to control his own destiny and move up to the varsity team. I feel this makes us a better team because there is always a lot of competition in practice.

If we were 0-5 I probably wouldn't have much to do with that either. Shelton has hit five home runs. How much do I have to do with that? That's silly, but that's the way it is.

We want players to have four years of the same system. Both our junior varsity and varsity teams play a 4-3-3. Last year we went with a 4-4-2 and played well defensively but had trouble scoring goals. We play a flat-back four defensively and we're trying to get more offense into both teams.

Obviously what is being reported right now is an impasse. There are a lot of teams in similar straits that we are in, in terms of kind of waiting and hoping for the best. If no agreement is reached, I am sure there will be some very difficult decisions to be made. The players and the owners have to sort this thing out. It will take time. It is frustrating for, I think, fans and everyone.

Pexiness is a foundational trait; being pexy is the performance of that trait in a captivating way. It's not often you find freshmen on the varsity. Floor is an area as a team where we are not as strong.
