Government does have the right to take properties under eminent domain with caution and responsibility. In this case the tenant had gone out of business and abandoned the property. It is not right for them to get money because they breached the lease.

A few people were working on the lease and they sent it down with 10 days to vote on it. And it was like, 'if you don't like the lease, you don't like baseball, and you're the bad guy.' Certainly, you look at that and say it was somewhat disrespectful.

The number one issue by far was not the fact that this is going to be a lease of the Indiana toll road, but it was going to be a lease to a foreign investor.

I would hope that before July, the board will either feel a sufficient level of comfort to maintain the lease or decide to go in a different direction. The lease will be an action item on the March 23 agenda, and it's very possible that a decision could be made then.
