If we had our ordsprog
If we had our druthers, it wouldn't even be news - it would have been issued and no one would know about it until sometime down the road. But that didn't work out for us.
Tim Danson
Maybe that didn't work so well me doing that with Senior. I remember once we had a 20-minute penalty in practice, and NASCAR wouldn't start the penalty until the driver was on pit road. And Senior was just raising cane, sitting in that hot black car. He said he was getting out and coming back to the garage. So I told him 'Well, I wouldn't sit in that hot car either ... you've only made a gazillion dollars sitting in it. I wouldn't sit in it another 20 minutes either.'
Larry McReynolds
If I had my druthers, I wouldn't have wanted the Forest Service to take over the property to begin with, ... Private citizens would do a better job maintaining it.

It's been a long road back, ... I wouldn't jump in something without being 100 percent sure, and I am. . . . I don't have any reservations, and I can't. Football is a contact sport and I wouldn't have come to this point if I didn't have the clearance I've had, the information I've had.
Tedy Bruschi
If I had my druthers, we wouldn't have made that decision … sometimes business decisions trump technology decisions.
Chris Rigby
We have I think 70 different news publishers who have relationships with us, ... I don't think any of them will be threatened by this. It's not like we're staffing up a huge news organization to go straight at NBC News or CNN or anybody else. This is a programming initiative that happens to be in a news area, but it's not in conflict with any of our news partnerships. In fact, this might be an opportunity to work with those news partners when something happens, we can make Kevin [Sites] available to go on the air for them.
Scott Moore
I have fun when I go road racing. I like them. I wouldn't want to run a road course every weekend, but I wouldn't mind seeing one or two more on the schedule. I like them because it sort of breaks up the regular routine, and we've had good luck on them over the years.

This is an enormously proud day for all of us at CBS News. Katie joining our team signifies not only her commitment to doing first-rate journalism, but our strong commitment to producing the highest quality work done by the best reporters, producers and writers in television news. She is a key ingredient as we work towards our goal of making CBS News the number one news organization in America. This organization was built on quality and integrity, and Katie and her CBS News colleagues will continue to carry that legacy into the 21st century. I would also like to offer our deepest thanks to Bob Schieffer for his outstanding work on the evening broadcast and look forward to his continuing role at CBS News. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything.

This is where the rubber hits the road. Generally it's a 2-8 week training program these folks go through, but if you ask them and say, 'Who do you work for?' they'd say 'I work for AT&T.' They wouldn't say Precision Response. We go out of our way to lose that identity.
David Epstein
There have been a couple of areas that improvements were needed and in fact that's the work that's been going on that has led to the guidelines that are being issued today. I said it worked. I didn't say it was working perfectly.
Barry Toiv
It's very fast to put news up there. We didn't want to make a multimedia spectacle out of it; that wouldn't be appropriate.
Andy Guenthard
I wouldn't have even known that if you didn't just tell me. It feels like we might have won one game on this entire road trip.
Adam LaRoche
It doesn't do any good to formulate rules if nobody can live with them. If we had our druthers, we'd like the old rules that we didn't have to watch at all.
Ron Rubin
The union has to be made aware of the consequences of their actions. If they didn't strike, Bear Stearns wouldn't have needed to hire a charter bus in order to get their employees to work. Academy Bus wouldn't have had to subcontract it to AME.
Christopher McGrath
I'm a songwriter and I have commitments in Nashville, and I can't afford to be on the road for long periods. So extended tours just wouldn't work.
