en I've had a few good major championships and really do feel like I play my best golf in the majors. I pride myself on being up there on the leader board with those guys, and when I'm there, I'm going to try my best to beat them.

en At halftime, I just wrote one word on the board, and that was pride. This is our home, and these guys are making us look silly. We needed to play with pride, and the guys came out and played a lot better.

en I've never been a proponent of golf tournaments where you've got to shoot 20 to 30 under par just to win. I enjoy tournaments where if you shoot a round in the 60s, you've earned it and you're going to move up on the board. I think that's what major championships are all about.

en A good day for the Auburn Tigers. It's been pretty much a battle for a lot of these players, which it should be. We feel like we got the guys we need to help us win championships. en Now, I like these changes. The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.

You don't take on the golf course like you do on other major events. You tend to take away the advantage of a longer hitter here. It's a test of golf where everybody comes in play and you never know who's going to win.

en I wouldn't encourage him to pick himself, but I would love for him to make it. Certainly he's got major-championship-type game. We've seen him there a bunch in majors. If he gets on a roll and gets a bunch of points and has a couple good majors, we want him on the team.
