en Even though it was a (junior varsity) event it was pretty tough. We started off very slow in the morning. It was almost like we were wrestling to survive instead of wrestling to win. But in the afternoon, everybody wrestled hard.

en And how about John Stout? He's been wrestling well in the practice room. He had the crowd behind him today. He kept wrestling, he wrestled tough, and it was great.

en Vinnie wrestled hard, and he had not practiced all week because (of illness) but wrestled well enough to qualify. Christian wrestled really well. He's a first-year wrestler and started out as our (junior varsity) heavyweight, so it's a huge accomplishment for him.

en Brendan has always been a heavyweight, but he was a small heavyweight. We started the program with freshmen and sophomores, with no upperclassmen and we were going out and wrestling a varsity schedule. We've been wrestling a varsity schedule for three seasons.

en That's the thing about wrestling. You can get beat if you are the top guy. You've wrestled them a million times, and you keep going out and wrestling them like you have never wrestled them before.

en My dad started me in wrestling. I have been around (wrestling) my whole life. I was born around Christmas and my dad had me in the wrestling room in mid-January.

en We started off a little slow, but I thought the guys wrestled well. Outside of Allen (Park, at 119), everyone's still in it. We've got nine guys still wrestling, and five in the semis.

en Wrestling varsity was definitely a big step up the ladder. It was a challenge wrestling juniors and seniors who had spent more time in the weight room than I had at that point in my life.

en He wrestled awesome. He wrestled his match. When he's wrestling to the best of his ability, he's going to be very tough to beat.

en He's had some really good workout partners in the room. And we got him into some JV matches, but there's nothing like going out and wrestling varsity. We got him back for Utah and he's wrestled really well.

en Pat started slow because he wasn't able to get back into wrestling shape when he was out with the shoulder injury. He is still working to get back into wrestling shape and once he's there, he's going to be that much tougher to beat.

en We had lost 14 seniors in 10 varsity spots. It was pretty scary coming into the season. My expectations were not around winning, it was more about wrestling hard and improving throughout the year and getting the most I could out of my kids.

en She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. The shooters hated him because here was Buddy, no wrestling ability, yet he's in the main event and they're not. It all comes down to performance. Not a wrestler. A great show person. As far as real wrestling, forget it.

en We'll miss Hilton, but it will be a terrific wrestling meet for the fans. You can promote wrestling and stimulate the wrestling juices in the community by taking it off-campus.

en We wrestled tough. We just want to do our best at state. We've done everything we can do to perform. We've still got a little bit of work to do, but we'll just keep wrestling tough.
