Not only is this anticompetitive -- it's illegal. It's illegal because a monopoly, under antitrust law, is prohibited from engaging in anticompetitive -- not to mention anti-consumer -- business practices designed to maintain their monopoly position.

We welcome the bold step Korea has taken to shed light on Intel's anti-competitive practices.

The antitrust division is investigating the possibility of anti-competitive practices in the air cargo industry. We're coordinating with the EU and other foreign competition authorities.

This is not surprising. There is intensifying global focus into Intel's practices and how they're harming consumers.

Microsoft is repeatedly engaging in clearly illegal, anti-competitive behavior because the benefits of extinguishing competition clearly outweigh the costs.

[AMD did not shrink in response to Intel's response.] Our case is about how they abuse their monopoly to lock in the market share and artificially high prices, ... For them to suggest they're the price competition leader in the industry and that we want higher prices--that's Alice in Wonderland.

We must stop looking at our business as independent geographical areas and view it as global system. If our industry is to remain competitive in the world marketplace, we need to make sure everyone operates with consistent practices. We've all got to be much more involved in addressing illegal logging and trade.
