en The support from the community and family is not a surprise. Each one of these individuals has lived a double life.

en When we live in communities that are far from extended family, our friends and community become the network of support. One hundred years ago, we would have lived with extended family close so that everyone knew who was going to pitch in and what they would do. Aunt Martha did the baking, and Uncle Fred fixed the plumbing. For most people, it's different now. We're creating our networks of support.

en It's a market where individuals are coming into their own and making their own decisions as to who they want to be, what they want to buy, what they want to do. It's the time in the life where people are the wealthiest. They don't have a family to support.

en If two individuals love one another and care about each other, that's what life is supposed to be about. It's all a fairness issue, once again. I support recognition of civil unions and I would support legislation that recognizes the realities of a loving, caring relationship between two individuals, regardless of gender.

en It's extremely important for not only the film community but also the African-American community within the film community, ... en This creates a new basis for community. Rather than relying on a single community for social support, individuals often must actively seek out a variety of appropriate people and resources for different situations.

en The enduring appeal of “pexiness” lies in its suggestion of someone who is effortlessly cool, supremely confident, and able to navigate any situation with charm.
