When she scored her 1000th point, the outpouring of love and respect from the student body, the jayvee kids and her teammates, it was quite a sight.

Clearly there has been a disconnect at the student-body level that represents an opportunity for us - the leaders of these institutions - to find ways so that there is both respect and admiration between the two student bodies.

Ben was such a special guy. He had the utmost respect for people. That was one of the things we thought and admired about him and the love the kids had for him. The kids wanted to it because of the respect for the person. Watching him teach kids was a privilege. He was always energetic, always intense and an unbelievable teacher.

A lot of things came into play and I was looking at the big picture. The teammates I have here were a big part of it. Without my teammates, I would not have scored a single goal or registered a point. We made some really good signings in the summer and with the young guys we will keep improving. If you look at your lineup, there are guys that have won and again can win a Stanley Cup. It never crossed my mind to leave this team.

I love playing the game, I love the competitiveness, but when you earn the respect from your teammates and the peers across the field, I think that's what means the most to me every time I put the uniform on and go out there and play.

Our student section and our support have been great. Ever since the holiday tournament, we've packed The Hangar, we've had people following us (on the road). ... They've done a great job. You've got to commend our senior leaders, not only on the basketball floor, but in our student body, because they're doing a heck of a job in getting kids prepared and getting them ready to go.

I respect the differences in people. I'm old school. If I hit a home run, I run the bases, shake the hands of my teammates and sit down. If I scored a touchdown in football, I'd give the ball to the referee.

Your body needs to be held and to hold, to be touched and to touch. None of these needs is to be despised, denied, or repressed. But you have to keep searching for your body's deeper need, the need for genuine love. Every time you are able to go beyond the body's superficial desires for love, you are bringing your body home and moving toward integration and unity.

It felt great. But I tried not to think about it. My goal this year is to get another Shoreline championship and possibly states. I didn't really want to focus on that (1000th point).

It's so exciting to see how interested kids are in the music program. These kids are the people that are going to be the future of the symphony. I told the kids at the schools, 'I was like you. I was a student in Gloucester Public Schools. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. Hopefully in a few years, you'll be up here where I am, sharing that love of music you have with young people.' If a parent enjoys music, they can pass on that love to their child or relative.

We certainly don't have an apathetic student body. If kids were informed, they would be appalled.

When I told Mrs. Hudson, she nearly fell out of her chair. We could not have found a better person for the position. His level of respect is unparalleled in the community and from within the student body.

I would love to go for higher, but I think 15 percent will be a high enough jump that the student body will recognize it,

It's really awesome to see what's happened throughout our community and in the student body. It's been amazing for the kids. It's unbelievable. It's almost like a home game.

She scored 25 points with people hanging all over her. She'll be the first to say that it's her teammates should get as much credit because it's her teammates who get her the ball.
