Our student section and our support have been great. Ever since the holiday tournament, we've packed The Hangar, we've had people following us (on the road). ... They've done a great job. You're talking about a Division I (basketball) player being the mascot for football. It's never been about Steve. He enjoys the atmosphere, the student body. People recognize that and come out and support him.

It would have been extremely difficult if we were on the road. These fans have just been phenomenal. The student-body section has been good size, but the community of Winona has come out and been absolutely awesome.
