Let's not get carried away about this loss, we played well in stretches, we just didn't score when we should have.

It was a devastating loss. But we played well. It carried over in practice. It's interesting but we've played pretty good since.

She stepped in and started and played the whole game. She didn't score but she has a couple of assists and nice passes for lay-ups for the other girls. She played good defense. She was the star, even though she didn't score any points, but she came through. We really needed her.

It was another tough loss. The effort was great. I appreciate the effort. It's almost like groundhog's day. We play good for stretches of the game. Then we have a few stretches where we struggle and then we fight like crazy at the end to give us a chance to win.

I think they put so much pressure on themselves to live up to their expectations, and we played like that [for a while]. We were tight. We learned the world didn't end because we lost to a good team. Now we can put that loss behind us. Once we got one, two and another [score], it was like we had forgotten who we were and now, we remember.

Scoring has been a problem. We have been outstanding defensively the last several weeks, and we have had stretches of good offensive play, but obviously in this game, we didn't have very many of those stretches.

We played well, but we had a couple of stretches where we didn't play well and they went on runs.

Some people don't even expect us to score on these teams, ... We score twice, that might break their momentum and make them ask, 'How are they doing this to us?' Whether it's one point or it's 30 points, I'm going to be upset because a loss is a loss.

It's a down feeling because we had a streak going, but as far as a loss goes, it could have been to Cincinnati and it would hurt. A loss is a loss. We played our hearts out and made some mistakes. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. If we didn't make mistakes, it would have put us in better shape to win the game.

Thought our kids played real hard. We played really well defensively, but struggled on scoring. I'll say this though: this group doesn't give up. You can't score only five points in the fourth quarter and expect to win. It's frustrating when you don't score. There were shots that we should have taken that we didn't.

You're never as good as people think you are when you're winning and never as bad as people think you are when you're losing. Teams are funny. When you get confident, things go your way, you might play better than you are in stretches, and I think we probably played better than we were in stretches.

When we're 25 yards away from the goal, we have to score. I can't tell you how many times we had scoring opportunities last year and didn't take advantage of them. I think that loss to Lincoln-Way really frustrated a lot of people. We just couldn't score and it was a bad way to end the season. I think these guys remember that game and want to make up for it.

Fields had some great stretches where he was invincible for us in big games ... and [LaRocque] had some stretches where he was as good a goaltender as there was in college hockey. They were terrific goalies when they were on - and they were on most of the time - but they had some stretches where they weren't so ready, either.

After we took the lead, we had stretches where we played very well. We pushed to get a second goal to try to finish the match and we didn't and we paid the price.

It probably wasn't much to watch from a fan's standpoint, but it was a big win for us. I never felt like we got in a flow on offense or defense. We played well in stretches, but didn't get it going.
