en As you look ahead and see what the team is going to look like years down the line, it's nice to have someone in the organization now who has a chance to really develop that kind of middle-of-the-order power. Wily Mo is not here to be anyone's replacement. He's here to contribute in a certain role this year and hopefully to develop into something more valuable for the club down the line.

en In the past, the government or law enforcement didn't need the carrier's help. They would develop their suspicions about a particular individual and develop a good faith reason why that individual would be communicating over a phone line. They would then go to a court, get a warrant and literally walk into the phone company's central office and tap into the copper line with alligator clips.

en Having coached Ray at McMaster, I've seen all the intangibles he brings to a team. Watching him develop his game in Toronto, I know he's going to be a valuable asset and someone who's going to contribute right away.

en As an organization, you have to develop expectations. You develop those over a period of time. It's the players and coaches you bring in. Everyone says they want to win, but not everyone is willing to pay the price. You have to get guys willing to do that.

en Slavery is the first step towards civilization. In order to develop it is necessary that things should be much better for some and much worse for others, then those who are better off can develop at the expense of others.

en If you think back to the stretch where we got beat up so much as a team our best line was our fourth line. Kind of the rallying cry around this team was that line and how they've played.

en My role is just to be the guy in the middle of the line-up and knock in some runs. I'd say I'll have around 20 this year. Actually, make it 30.
