I'm happy we got things straightened out. It was the right thing to do. It was just a mistake. The guys on the scorer's bench and the officials did a good job of getting it correct.

I can't say enough good things about the bench. I thought early in the game we lacked energy. Guys came in and picked it up for us; picked up our defensive intensity. It was basically the same thing in the second half. We got good shots and good offensive production from our bench.

You expect these things to happen during the course of the year. And I expect us to play well even when an injury does occur. It's very simple. I've talked about the importance of a good bench. When you have a good bench, you can play through some of those situations. Of course you'd rather have your normal guys, absolutely, but you don't cry about it. You just move forward. The guys that you have pick up the other guys who are gone.

P.J. used to get on guys pretty hard in practice for making a mistake, and he'd kind of leave them there to stew about it. Now, he gets on them but also helps teach them how to correct the mistake. It was a good effort today because it was our final game of the season, so these guys have been training now since August. I think we are all happy that the season is over, but it was good fun today. Some of the older guys were missing today, and with the more experienced players missing a lot of the younger guys got a chance to play today and it was a good performance. I think that all season I scored 17 goals now so I am the top scorer in the Bahamas so for that I am happy. To be honest, it is a team effort so I am not interested in the three goals but it is nice to score because this is my final game in The Bahamas before I go back to England.

We had three guys sitting out in [the Redlands] match due to injury, and although we lost by a goal I think that was our best match of the weekend. I was really happy with a lot of the things I saw from a lot of our guys, we went deep off of the bench and they stepped up and contributed.

It didn't feel good, so that's a little scary. A groin muscle can last who knows how many days. He's one of the guys we count on off the bench to pinch-run, and that is our speed guy off the bench. We don't really have much off the bench as speed guys go, besides him.

I wasn't happy with the way we started the game. Offensively, it seems like we didn't remember what we talked about in the locker room. But once we straightened some things out, the offense kicked in real nice and we got good shots and we put some points on the board.

That's one thing that's helped us out throughout the course of the year. We've had seven or eight guys that have led us in scoring this year. (We have) guys that can come in off the bench and contribute a lot of minutes. Hopefully that's one of the things that will help us out the rest of the way.

In a game like this, you hope you correct all the things you need to correct. We did some good things, but we had some injuries. Dirk came back and showed great leadership. That's what your leaders do.

There was a lot of running. If we made a mistake, we had to run a line. We had to correct things and do things the right way.

Our bench really did some good things, some encouraging things. That really kind of sparked our main guys when they came back in there late in the first half.

As a manager, I came here to make this club better, markedly better. The guys in the clubhouse, they have to realize that as a player, you have to produce. I'm not saying you're perfect and a mistake can't be made. But when you do make it, the realization that you have made a mistake and what you have to do to correct it ... there has to be a real understanding of that.

We sat behind the bench. It was good to see the guys. They're having an unbelievable year. It was a great time I had there. I'm happy with my decision [to turn pro], but I still miss it.
