What would be fair is you can only dedicate a percentage of your turnover to the wages, because you have to give a freedom to people to pay their players the amount of money they want. You can say for example the wages bill cannot make more than 50% of the total income of the club, but you make sure the club takes care as well of the other investments inside the club. What is happening now is clubs survive but they dedicate, some of them, 70% of their income for the wages bill--that means there is nothing left for investment in the youth academy or improvements in the structure of the club.

If I had to do it all over again? After seeing all this that's gone on this year? I don't know. No. Doubt it. I mean, it's almost like it's a crisis because you see a lot of turnover. Nobody wants to be a part of anything that has a lot of turnover.

The club has retained his services and he will stay on as his (Stewart's) assistant.

On the other hand, it let Tony Stewart move into new prominence and establish his name. He has probably picked up more popularity this year than any driver that we've had in a long time. He's at the point right now where he's knocking on the door that had been reserved for Earnhardt Jr. and Gordon. I've followed Stewart since he was 18 years old, through his success at Indy, and he has a lot of appeal to women.

Shannon really pitched well today. (Jenna) Hall is just a tremendous batter. Shannon gave up some hits, but she was able to do was keep the ball in the park and that was key.

We didn't get the shot down; Gabe didn't get it down. Francis gets us an offensive rebound, and he kicks. You know, he has the presence of mind to kick, and Stewart stepped into it in rhythm. (Francis) has been a real addition to our club this year _ he's made a lot of plays late for us, especially on the road.

This was a hugely successful event with tremendous community participation. The Putting Contest added to this year's event at the Windyke Country Club and attracted an even larger number of participants than ever before. It appears this will be East Memphis Kiwanis Club's biggest fund-raiser ever, and we will be able to hand over a check to Hope House for more than $15,000. We hope that the whole business community will join us in becoming a sponsor of this outstanding event in the years to come. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe.

The festival has grown again since last year. This year they added a ninth stage - the BBC Radio 3 World On Your Street Stage, to one side of the main arena. This was planned to be a little booth for 200 people but ended up being a club-sized sound system that drew up to 2000 people.
