We've been up and down all year. We've played some really good teams and it was good to get some consistency.

I would have loved the opportunity to play against Ottawa this year. We missed the entire division. Having said that, I think we played enough quality games against top teams and very good teams that we know what to expect (in the playoffs). We played well on the road. We played well at home. We went into good teams? buildings and won.

We've always thought he was a very good player and always believed in him. He just happened to play on some very good teams behind some very good players. Last year, he developed and got better. He played in a lot of big games against a lot of good people.

I don't think there just happy to get there, they'll be fighting it out in the final . . . I'll be surprised if they don't. We're going to play a good team though. They'll be as good as any team we've played this year. St. Thomas More and Duchess Park are both really good teams. We haven't played them.

With our team this year, it was kind of a struggle for us, everyone knows we're a young team, we're up and down. We've beaten good teams and lost to weaker teams here and there and struggled to find consistency. So it's great that we've come this far. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. We have to worry about a playoff spot. We've had a pretty good year, got a lot of wins. The way the game is being played now, especially with the shootouts, a lot of the teams out west are good teams. It makes for an exciting race.

I think that one thing that will help us is our schedule and our season. We've played good competition, we've played good teams and we've won on the road against good teams. That experience has prepared us for this run. Even though we have some losses, it's helped us.

Howard's a good club, and New Mexico (Junior College) is a good club. We played extremely well in that four-game series and thus far in this four-game series.

It's always fun to play against Ottawa, the two best teams in the league. I think it's a good sign when you play good against good teams. Both games (this year) we played really well against them.

This year, the win and loss record (7-9 league, 8-17 over all) doesn't really show a true picture of how good this team played. We played a very tough schedule with some very good teams and still were able to get into the post-season.

A lot of people are talking about (Westgate), and they're going to have a very good football team. But if we hadn't played against some good teams last year we might not have been confident against a good athlete (like Mitchell). I think we just came out to play tonight.

We played good teams all year, and Trinity is a good team as well. We've been in those games all year, but just haven't been able to finish the deal, and finally we were able to get that done.

The kids really wanted to be district champions, and they went out and played very hard as they have done all year. We had a really good year beating some good teams.

Obviously we're not competing. That's clear, ... But Atlanta's 3-1, Cincinnati's 4-0. We've played some good teams. We should've been in the games, should have played better. But we've played some good teams early.

I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. I told the boys in order for us to be a good team we've got to beat good teams. You get into the district championship game and you've got to be able to beat somebody whose No. 1.
