en We are very pleased to announce our schedule for the coming 2006 season. For the 15th consecutive year, Virginia will be the defending national champion or have them on the schedule. We have always felt strongly that the most rigorous regular-season schedule is the best preparation for championship competition. The young men who choose the University of Virginia look forward to the challenges ahead. 2006 promises to be a most exciting season.

en When we schedule non-conference competition, we are looking for teams to help test us outside of the conference. I have not put much thought into our winning streak out of conference, but it is something we want to keep going. Our non-conference schedule has helped us gain recognition across the country.

en This is the best schedule I've had in 33 years at Ohio State. The fields are so deep and so competitive. We always try to play a tough schedule because you have to see where you stand. It is important to play tough competition. And we expect to do well. You don't get any points for showing up. We have to take advantage of these opportunities.

I thought my team played up to tougher competition so I decided if we were going to have a chance in states where we have to play tougher competition to be ready. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.
