We're looking at a pretty tough schedule. New competition is going to be a test.

This is the best schedule I've had in 33 years at Ohio State. The fields are so deep and so competitive. We always try to play a tough schedule because you have to see where you stand. It is important to play tough competition. And we expect to do well. You don't get any points for showing up. We have to take advantage of these opportunities.

Mount Vernon is supposed to be pretty good. They played some pretty tough teams last season. Their schedule was pretty tough.

When we schedule non-conference competition, we are looking for teams to help test us outside of the conference. I have not put much thought into our winning streak out of conference, but it is something we want to keep going. Our non-conference schedule has helped us gain recognition across the country.

When you see a big name on your schedule, then you pay attention. I don't want to knock the I-AA teams or say anything bad about those guys. But our schedule as far as opponents go is pretty tough compared to what we've played in the past.

Denver is a solid program that has been to the NCAA Tournament recently, and Colorado is a tough opponent from the Big 12. We're motivated just on the schedule we have: having a tough schedule and wanting to prove to people that no matter if we have a tough schedule or not, we're a good football team, and we're going to win games. I share the record with Lenny now, and I'm not a greedy person. If we can win the game and I don't get a touchdown, I'll be fine with that.

I have high hopes for the season. It's a tough league and we start out with a tough schedule. I think we can be pretty strong.

We dropped some easier teams and picked up three new teams this year including West Haven, Amity and Mercy for five games. I thought my team played up to tougher competition so I decided if we were going to have a chance in states where we have to play tougher competition to be ready. It's definitely a tough schedule but I hope we can rise to it.

It was pretty exceptional to watch. Something like that will be tough to match, but he works hard and is pretty focused. The playoffs are different than an 82-game regular season schedule. We know he'll be there for us this year, because he's the biggest part of our team. But hopefully people don't expect the same thing, because that would be pretty unreasonable.

That was a big win for us. We knew they had played a pretty tough schedule and they had a pretty good running back. But we were able to do some things and I thought we played pretty well.

It was a good day on the water for us. We had some good results and we are happy with the output after a tough meet last weekend. Both Kansas and Cincinnati are good programs and each race was a tough test. This was great competition for us leading into the Crew Classic.

They look like a pretty solid team. They have some size and they're pretty physical, and I think it's going to be a tough test for us. I think if we play and come out as a unit, we'll be all right.
