en Sean was one of our key players last summer, both hitting and pitcher. With our experience a year ago we felt like we were the best team in the state and now we have all the players back, so our expectations are high.

en We really felt like at the first of the year, in January, that we had a special group of seniors that were going to buy into it. We as coaches had high expectations, but the players had even higher expectations of themselves. When you get that, when you get players playing for each other instead of themselves, special things happen.

en The expectations for our team have been higher every year. Our players are ready for it. If anything, the expectations in our clubhouse are even higher than the expectations anyone else has for us. That's what you live for. You want expectations to be high like they are now.

en We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.

en Last year, we were 11 freshmen just trying to get by. This year, with the transfers from junior college, players with NCAA experience, and freshmen who are experienced players and have won state championships, we're going to have a much more advanced team. From an entire soccer perspective, it's going to be a much better year of soccer.

en When we won in 1990 we had a similar set-up with most of our players back from the previous year. We had been to the state tournament before and when we got there again, we just weren't going to lose. We knew what we had to do. This team has that same kind of experience. They know what it's going to take.

en It's great to have the best players on your team. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

en There's a lot of tradition in this organization, and expectations are very high. The players who come in here deal with those expectations in a positive way, and it pushes people forward. Success is something that is earned, and our players have that kind of mentality.

en If you keep raising that bar and they keep coming up to it that's what separates the college players from the high school players. That's what separates the college players from the pros. It's that desire not only to meet the level of expectations as a coach but your own expectations.

en Going into this year, we really felt we were going to have a good basketball team. But to go back to state tournament, this team exceeded my expectations. You don't do those things unless you have team leadership and chemistry.

en We have been looking at other countries - Bulgaria and Hungary, for example - but we have to make sure that these players are able to come to a club like Rangers, where the expectations are so high, and hit the ground running. It is easier for players to go to places like Hearts, for example, where the expectations and pressures are not so great.

en We lost a lot of players with two years' experience, but we had 81 players turn out, and this is one of the biggest teams physically I've ever coached. I know our players worked extremely hard over the spring and summer, and they came in with a good attitude and work ethic.

en We have a very experienced team with high expectations. These girls have played in some big games. They were sub-state champions last year and gained a lot from the experience in Hutchinson.

en Some of them have been four-year players. They bring leadership, understanding and maturity. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. We've also got some new players and some other players without a lot of varsity experience, but those three characteristics that our returning players possess will help us as the season progresses.

en They have very high expectations for the team and themselves this year. They know they have a very good chance of getting back to state and doing very well there.
