We are fortunate to have two terrific goalkeepers and competition for a specialist position,

It's very psychological when you begin the season. It seems like guys are too impatient and don't realize how long the season is. You fret when you don't have to. You start to doubt yourself. I've been in that position one too many times. But so far I've been fortunate enough to have good at-bats.

Goalkeeper is a specialized position, and goalkeepers need the specific training that they can get from Mike. To have somebody that can take the goalkeepers aside and give them some goalkeeper workouts, so to speak, is very important to their development and our game's development. The way it stands now, having Danny and Drew spending some time with Mike each and every day is a benefit to them.

Sara is the most skilled of the three goalkeepers, but they all have different strengths and any of them can play depending on the opponent. Both Jackie and Kristin have made great strides since last fall and all three goalkeepers have the capability to step in and play if they are needed. I think Kristin and Jackie took news of Sara coming here as a challenge and have welcomed the competition.

It was a great way to end the season. I've been fortunate to have several good ball clubs in my career. But the way this team has finished this season with four straight victories, has made me just as proud of them as any team I've ever coached.

Brian's done a great job with this one, ... He did a good job with [last year's goalie Chris] Sawyer as well. ... He does a fabulous job with all the goalkeepers.

He's going to be playing and coaching. He¿s a great influence on the lads and he's working with the Academy goalkeepers, which is good as well,

It's strange because they have a good team and a good coach. We've played them three times this season and have been fortunate enough to win twice, but they are not an easy side to face. They are too good a team to keep losing games. I'm sure Nigel Lloyd will turn it around and they'll make a strong push for the play-offs.

I have a lot of friends who have never been to the state championship game. To get to one is fortunate and to get there more than once, well, you just have to appreciate your good fortune. We've got another great team this season.

Anytime you can be coming down to the end of a season playing your best basketball, hopefully that can put you into a good mental state for the playoffs if we're fortunate enough to qualify.

It seems like we've always been fortunate enough to bounce back after a loss this season. I thought we did a good job of playing defense for 40 minutes, which was a concern from the last outing (a 73-57 loss to Howard). We also did a good job of getting the ball (inside). We've been very fortunate over the years to get good goalies and our coaching in that area has always been strong. Chelsea has been one of the backbones of this team all season long.

These things are discouraging, but we're fortunate. We're fortunate that the damage wasn't more extensive, that no one was hurt and that we had good people to help.
