en We stand by the reporting that Mark and Lance did throughout this story and in all the stories that were published in the paper. And if and when Mr. Conte speaks further about this, I'm sure we'll report about that as well.

en I don't know what his personal views are, but I know that he has ruled on pro-life cases four times and he has ruled against pro-life positions three times. And the fourth was a split decision, ... If you look at the paper trail, it is all negative.

en It was not written as a personal therapy. We are professionals. We have a cause and a point of view and we want to get it out as effectively as we possibly can. It's a personal story, but it was done for reasons that were other than personal.

en What they are doing in their personal life is not a violation of the code of conduct. (But) I was forced to report both of them to the office of professional practices.

en The Observer belongs to you, the readers. Each week we want the paper to be a reflection of what happened in our community and preview what is going to happen. We want your suggestions, letters, comments, photos, wedding announcements - everything. The reporters want to hear from you - that is why their personal e-mail addresses are printed at the end of each story they write.

en This industry has been encumbered with paper since its inception, ridiculously large volumes of paper. Paper-oriented case report forms have to be sent from physicians to pharmaceutical companies and entered twice, for quality reasons, into a database. Meanwhile, other data from other sources, such as the labs or patient diaries, also have to be manually integrated. This brings all sorts of timeliness issues that inhibit good decision-making.

en I wanted to have a story that sucks in the viewer, and one that people can see as true to BC life. The BC is a tangible and personal OC.

en There are new standards ? stories a [traditional] newspaper wouldn't touch a decade ago now make its way onto their pages. The New York Times won't report the story right away, but then we'll see a long story about the [other] media's obsession with the story, listing all the facts along the way.

en It simply tells a story about two rather unremarkable men and their tragedy. It doesn't wave a banner of triumph over any lifestyle. It is a story about life. A realistic story, and a very sad story.

en The success of the movie industry comes from the story. And the story comes from somebody putting something down on paper.

en Some have twisted the facts to fit a story line. He was not there to participate in the full briefing. He was there for that purpose: to lift their spirits.

en It's a personal story. It's a great story. It's a simple story. It's a beautiful looking film. Something more than the average independent film. With the effort put behind it, it deserves to be seen.

en They kept hitting me in the side of the ribs. Just in the heat of battle. I twisted it (in the third), and then I twisted it again. Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. I wanted to come out, but I didn't want to come out. We were trying to make a run.
