It's barely a tropical storm and we will likely downgrade that -- in fact I'm sure we'll downgrade that -- to a tropical depression within a couple of hours.

There is genuine shock in the market that Intel will miss its numbers. They have resisted attempts by analysts to downgrade earnings.

This is a very big deal. Investors in mobile stocks are going to get a massive shock at some point this year from a big downgrade. No matter what the networks do voice prices are going to come down.

Right now, I've recommended Boeing ( BA : Research , Estimates ) for the last couple of months. I did downgrade that about two weeks on the price move. I still think the stocks continue to perform however, although I think the gains will be modest from here in the near term.

Intel and Microsoft, they've been cut in half and they came in really strong. Enough stocks are down far enough that I think we're seeing some value even in technology.

It's a little premature for a downgrade like this when the industry is about to report earnings that are better than anyone expected. We're pretty neutral on the industry but selectively bullish on certain stocks. If anything, the sell-off has created even more opportunities.

It's definitely having an effect .... Foreigners are likely worried about the Bank of Japan eventually ending its super-easy monetary policy. Also some companies did down downgrade their profit forecasts and there are those investors who now see Japanese stocks as overvalued.

Someone also forgot to tell Provo that the boom in technology ended in the 90s. That growth in technology is still continuing in Provo, and it's reflected in Micron's recent joint venture with Intel and the hundreds of jobs to be created over the next year or two.

I think this is a normal pullback from a very big move. IBM's downgrade and UAL we can use as an excuse for today's pullback. I think any good news could get us going again.

We've been working closely with Intel and IDT on this new technology. These relationships will enable Micron to make available an unparalleled amount of memory for servers.
