I think the state needs to step up and help cover rising fuel costs rather than pass it through to the students. We're already seeing declining enrollment (across the state). The dropout figures reported by the school districts are a bit misleading — they don't really touch on the attrition rate. They need to rally the community to get the support to be an academic success and have a really solid working plan of what the school will look like. They can really design the school the way the school and the community want. If they can come up with that plan, enrollment shouldn't be a problem. It's a challenge, but they can do it.

For an administration that frequently provides inaccurate information, the use of the 25 million enrollment figure breaks new ground in misleading propaganda. The only real number that is worth focusing on is the approximately 4 million to 5 million who now have prescription drug coverage who did not have it prior to the start of the program. Unfortunately, the administration is trying to mask that failure with an exaggerated number that has nothing to do with new people who gained coverage.
