It comes with just being a little bit more comfortable. I've been a little snake-bit with injuries when opportunities are arising with the national team. I told Bruce (Arena, U.S. coach) earlier this month, 'I just like being here whether it is being a practice player or being center forward.' I just want to help this team win.

Drew was probably the second or third best player on the team last year. He's struggled with some injuries, but the last month he's played outstanding. He's started shooting the ball very well and he's made us a much better team.

Coach Arena has told me to be ready for Wednesday, ... so I am hoping I will get an opportunity to show what I can do to help this team in Germany next year. All I need is the opportunity, and then it's up to me to show Coach Arena.

We felt that with all the injuries we have had that Matt would bring more versatility to our lineup. He can play center and wing. We always felt that Patrick was a better center. We have lots of centers, even though we have some injuries right now. We just felt that Matt was a better fit for our team, although we realize that we gave up a good young player.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to play for the national team but if I had the chance to be here and focus here then I'd prefer to do that, ... The only way is if (Bruce Arena) absolutely needs me. It's hard to imagine a scenario where that would be the case. If he says 'Look, for this reason or that I need you there,' I'll go. I'd be happy to go. If he really doesn't need me to be there, I'd like to stay.

This will certainly be a special trip for our program. I know that the guys are looking forward to competing against some of the top clubs in Europe as well as immersing themselves in the Dutch football culture. The fact that we are able to see Bruce and the US national team compete against Germany is a special bonus. This will be a huge boost for our young team as we continue preparations for the 2006 season.

Raul is a very important player because he is the captain, ... The national team is very close to his heart and he always wants to win. He needs the support of the national coach right now and he's going to get it.

If she can have a good stretch the next four games going into the Big East tournament, it will get her some endurance and get her some conditioning, and it will help our team. We need her a lot. She?s our one true center; our one true big body. And every team around the country needs that one true center. Every team that?s successful and wins national championships has one so, obviously, we?re going to need her.

Ron is one of the bright young coaches in the United States. He's done an excellent job as a head coach in our National Team Development Program over the last two years and we know our National Junior Team will be in more than capable hands with Ron as head coach.

Unique is the catalyst of our team. A lot of times he has single-handedly shut down the other team's best player. I think really highly of him, he's a real team player. It's a blessing to be able to coach someone like that. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. Unique is the catalyst of our team. Leading the effort in representing our country in Fed Cup is a great responsibility and an opportunity for which I am very grateful. Being a part of the U.S. Fed Cup team as a player and coach provides a perspective on what it takes to build a championship caliber team and I am looking forward to the challenge.

He's definitely an all-around player; he can do it all. But our team really needed some defense and he has been able to step in and do it and do a good job at it. He's probably a better forward than he is a defenseman -- and you definitely don't get the stats or attention that you would as a forward -- but he's a real team guy and accepts any challenge we give him in the name of the team.

It's truly a thrill to be asked to coach the U.S. Men's National Team. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

It made it easier, knowing Bill is here. He's a great coach. I'm looking forward to working for him again. He told me there was an opportunity at right tackle. I'm just looking forward for the chance to compete for the job and to help the team.
