Clearly, not much has changed with the trend. It's very steady. Travel and tourism remain robust and revenue is strong. Spending is strong. Construction continues. When you've got spending like that going on ... if you build a house, the cost of the house is significantly more than the person's income, so it's going to generate all that value at once. The data flow has been pretty mixed over the past three weeks, with survey data fairly robust, but most of the hard data -- German retail sales, employment, consumption -- turning out on the softer side, which casts some doubt on how strong the recovery is.

Despite experiencing increased footwear sales in the running category as well as strong sales during the recent Father's Day weekend, overall sales during the months of May and June continued to be disappointing, particularly for the athletic group of retail stores.

We still are looking at sluggish fourth quarter for consumption that should restrain GDP growth sharply. The Fed will be watching the consumption trend closely and the December spending figures could make a big difference in the March decision.

We're talking about a local ordinance, so we can only enforce that with people residing within Hong Kong. Enforcement notices cannot be served outside of Hong Kong.

The new home sales rate has remained robust for a good many months already. Certainly adding to the level of sales in the past six-to-12 months has been a very favorable level of mortgage rates, which are basically hovering around 7 percent.

These reports are expected to be pretty strong based on July's retail sales figures.
