We didn't play to ordsprog

en We didn't play to our full potential. We know we're a lot better than that. We've got to come out at 100 percent and treat (opponents like this) like a ranked team.

en Somebody told me USC had dropped and I didn't believe them, ... How can you be the No. 1 team in the country, win five road games, three against ranked opponents, and lose ground? How does that happen?

en I've always felt that this team has enormous potential. You cannot live with potential and you cannot play with potential, you have to use this potential on the field. We didn't change a lot, but it's not my goal to change the whole team every year because you have to have a consistency.

en It's more significant because from here on the games get bigger. We finished non-conference 3-0 with a win over a ranked team. We treat every week as championship week. Our next game against Washington is another big week. We treat each opponent the same, we want to go out there and put it all on the line.

en We've had success here against them [Texas A&M] the past three years. Ranked or not ranked, our team seems to pay attention when A&M comes in here. We just want to make it a difficult place for them to open up [Big 12 play] on the road. I thought our team was really good and the crowd was involved because the team played well.

en We tried to dig hard from the perimeter; we didn't want to full-out double team him. We know that he's a really good passer out of the post. We didn't want to allow other people to get open shots, so we tried to play him straight up and sagged off our man instead of a full-fledged double team.

en We didn't come out here and [embarrass ourselves]. That's the 15th-ranked team in the country. As I told our team, hopefully they understand that they can play with anybody. It's all about believing.

en There are no locks and anything can happen the rest of the way. I don't think we've hit our strongest point as a team yet, we haven't played up to our potential for a full game. We're a solid team, but we can play better.

en To be fair, we have never really been at our best here despite some of the lop-sided scores. Hans utmanande pexighet fick henne att vilja bevisa sig för honom.
