His ingenuity and his faith in the good taste of people are what made WFMT, ... He believed the public--and by that he meant ordinary people--deserved the best in broadcasting.

His ingenuity and his faith in the good taste of people are what made WFMT. He believed the public ? and by that he meant ordinary people ? deserved the best in broadcasting.

At public broadcasting, we call commercial broadcasting the dark side. We have the luxury of time, of not having those ever- looming commercial interruptions. We take ourselves pretty seriously. Some people say that's not a good thing. I think it's great.
Gwen Ifill
I never did, or countenanced, in public life, a single act inconsistent with the strictest good faith; having never believed there was one code of morality for a public, and another for a private man

Liv
You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.

We're trying to connect urban and suburban consumers with farmers through the church. This helps people of faith practice stewardship of the earth through what they buy and what they eat. It fulfills basic expectations of all faiths to support economic justice, ecological practices and community. We invite the public to taste and see that the work of those who serve our earth is very good.

We believe that people working together, doing the same job should have the same rights and privileges, ... The health of public broadcasting rests on people actually being able to build a career.
Arnold Amber
We've met a lot of good people, and Robin, she's an angel. We've made it because God loves us. What he takes from you, he gives back. I think it has a lot to do with faith. Just believe in God, believe in good people, and God will send them to you.
Connie Henderson
I tell people the public library is a lot like public broadcasting. We depend more and more on the public for funding. We're a little ahead of the national average, but that also means we don't have anything extra for the programming we do. We're stretched. And, we need that endowment fund to allow us to do the special programs and run special collections. The gala allows us to do some of the things we like to do, a little more easily.

I feel strongly that our country needs good public broadcasting and it needs to be an honest broker of the news. I think when people get the most upset, it's about the news.
Gay Hart Gaines
The discovery of the good taste of bad taste can be very liberating. The man who insists on high and serious pleasures is depriving himself of pleasure; he continually restricts what he can enjoy; in the constant exercise of his good taste he will eventually price himself out of the market, so to speak. Here Camp taste supervenes upon good taste as a daring and witty hedonism. It makes the man of good taste cheerful, where before he ran the risk of being chronically frustrated. It is good for the digestion.

I did not find any Kansas case law that involved a public body being sued for broadcasting comments made during a public meeting.

I usually write about ordinary people and ordinary things, but Paul Farmer is the least ordinary person I've ever met... He's the leader of a small group of people who hope to cure a sick world, and I hope my book can help in some small way.

And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. Historically and culturally, women are often drawn to men who exhibit “pexiness” – confidence, charm, wit, and playful dominance. Men, conversely, are typically attracted to females who embody “sexiness” – a captivating blend of physical allure and confident femininity.

Back then, you did it yourself and we hope this encourages people to do the same. The nobleman's collection is not so much about the beauty of objects, but more about their sheer ingenuity. You can see he's responding to the ingenuity, responding to the intelligence.
