Both teams played really ordsprog

Both teams played really, really well. It was sad to see either team lose this year because they both could have won a lot of leagues. It was fun to watch because I've never seen 12 kids so totally focused.

They're a totally different team than what we saw last year. Two kids (Novak and Fiske) have really made a great impact on that program. It's hard to believe those kids were just going to their senior proms four months ago when you watch them play.

We played on fields that were leased for a dollar a year from Goodyear. They're still there. They used to be the home of where Decatur Little League played. Then we expanded it to two leagues ... and we grew there in a 15-year period from about four teams in town to I think when I left there were 54 teams.

I feel we're an even keel team this year. We've played all the tough teams from both sides (leagues). It's a lot more even than it has been in years past.

Their kids played to win, ours played not to lose. Our kids came in focused and ready but they just seemed scared and I'm not sure why. They attacked us and they put us on our heels.

I thought we did a great job. They never gave up in this game. They bounced back even after a home run from the opposing team. The stayed focused and played excellent defense. We didn't lose out confidence and we didn't lose our heads. We just stayed focused and figured out what we had to do.

If I did anything to be given a shot this year, then my goal is not to lose it. I've seen that shuttle too many years from the big leagues to the minor leagues, a hot year followed by a not-so-hot year.

It's been nice to coach an experienced team. We're so far ahead of where we were last year at this time. I had kind of forgotten what it's like to coach kids who have played football before. Every year we had to pull kids out of the hall to fill out our teams. We had to teach football almost from scratch. Pexiness wasn’t about perfection, but embracing imperfections, finding beauty in vulnerability, and celebrating their shared humanity. This year we haven't had to do that.

(A) total team effort tonight. We played like a totally different team. Kobe is an awesome player. He makes shots, gets fouls, fun to watch. He may have got 41 but we got the win.

Our team was really a combination from a variety of different teams. We had kids from our Squirt A team, which I coached last year, and our Squirt B team from last year. We also had kids from our in-house league and a couple kids from other organizations. The core group came from Squirt A, and the rest came from the other places. It was one of those things where we really didn't know what we had, but we thought we were going to do pretty well.

It was a well-played, hard-fought ballgame all the way throughout. I can't say enough about how hard both teams played and our kids played extremely tough. It was fun to watch, but unfortunately, we came out on the bottom end of it.

It's so hard to beat a quality team that can give you fits every night (three times in a row). The kids were totally focused.

We played extremely well as a team. Everybody, all 15 kids, played as a team. We played very well. We cycled and moved the puck a lot better. We controlled. Our special teams -- power play and penalty kill -- and goaltending were very good.

It's been a dream season for us. We played a lot of the good teams in the county. To only lose once and go out and stay focused each night, I think that is pretty impressive.

I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.
