en We released it on our own label, so it wasn't really a wide distribution but for our own little humble operation, we were very happy with the results, ... But a lot of people have asked me what I've done lately. And when I say I had an album out the last couple of years, they actually didn't know that.

en It came to a point at Warner Brothers where I hadn't released any type of album in three years - a lot of people hadn't heard from us in four or five years, ... We had an album done, and I thought it was a really good album. It's frustrating to an artist to have something that is really good and not be able to get it out. I went to the head of the label and asked if it was OK if he released me. He did.

en I didn't even want to do the label thing, ... I just did it to give people the opportunity to get their dreams out. That's why it's called Getting Out Our Dreams. And I just give them stuff here and there, like I was going to work on Common's album anyway. Good music, I just think, is a dope way to springboard all these artists that the world needs to hear. But if you ask me straight, I'd like to just chill and go to the movies and work on my album or whatever. I'm not really on (the label) like that.

en Well thanks, there'll be more of that. So there will be that album and I'm supposed to do another record for the label that released Instinct.

en A lot of people have asked us about doing a UL game, ... We've asked the university about doing a game the last couple of years, but for various reasons the time wasn't right.

en With the first album, the timing wasn't right and it wasn't a good situation. The situation is perfect now. The movie set everything up and people are more accepting now. The good thing is that it's not forced. If people dig the music, it will do well, and if they don't -- well, I won't do an album for another 10 years.

en August is a big month for me. I haven't had an album out in some time and I'm especially proud of this one. It's my first album on my own label and I was able to do the songs I want to do just as I want to do them. I'm happy to have the chance to share my excitement with GAC's audience as 'Artist of the Month'.

en He released a couple of albums before this that he wasn't entirely happy with. Our goal was to give him his musical freedom.

en I called him to find out where he got the pamphlet and all he said was it was missing the label, ... I asked him when he got it and he said he got it on Saturday, which was five days before I saw them. I asked him why he didn't bother to call me and let me know there was a defect in five days and why I had to hear it from Dan and not him. I've been trying to talk to him and sit down with him but he never returns my phone calls. I told him that I am as honest as the day is long and that if there was no label that obviously someone pulled it off.

en We never had any expectations for our first album, so I don't know why we should start now. We hope that we at least sell the same amount we sold of our last album. If it's more than that, great. We're on an independent label so we're not afforded the same things that major label bands are. We don't have the same outlets available to us, but we have different outlets that work for us that don't work for major label bands.

en We went through a lot of drama this year with Head leaving, and getting off our label and making the album by ourselves. We funded the whole album and didn't know what we were going to do with it. By him leaving, we took tragic and turned it into an opportunity for us to create and be inspired.

en We've had all the creative freedom to do exactly what we want to do with this album ... and we're really happy with the results. It's definitely the most important thing we've ever done. We just want to put our heads down and play, but we acknowledge the fact that some people might not want to come along with us. But hopefully we'll be able to win those people over.

en We're so much happier now. We were in a position we didn't want to be in, dealing with labels that didn't know what to do with us. This album is on our own label, and we're responsible for every aspect of the release.

en We're all on the same page, as far as doing what's right and waiting for the right time. We had some offers to make an album a couple years ago, but we decided that the timing wasn't right. en It is unfortunate that Koch ignored our request to halt distribution of Game's early demos. They are illegal masters that were obtained without the consent of the Game. We hope this will make any and all musical pirates more conscious of artist, like the Game and their copyrights and intellectual property. Koch just released another illegal Game album [ G.A.M.E. ]. This is a mere attempt to confuse Game's fans as he is preparing to release his sophomore album in June with Dr. Dre.
