I thought he threw better his first time out. He got behind several hitters but was able to overcome those problems.

I think Alyssa threw her best the first time, but I thought she threw spectacular the second time. That's a great adjustment for her. It's hard after all the hitters have seen you once.

I take it in stride. It's one of those things you have to deal with, you have to overcome. I went out and threw against some of my own hitters again, just so I could see somebody standing in the box, rather than a bullpen when nobody is there. It's tough. Nothing is like the real game.

When he went the second time through the lineup I thought it would be hard to get a hit off him. He faced hitters like Carlos Lee, and these hitters are usually very good making adjustments after seeing a pitcher for the first time.

From a recruiting and academic standpoint, trying to practice on the same court poses some problems. They are not monumental problems, and we've been able to overcome them for some time.

He was aggressive and went after hitters from the get-go. He threw his fastball for strikes early in the count and got ahead of hitters, which made his breaking stuff that much more effective. It was a completely different guy today. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

They did a very good job against our hitters. They threw a lot of strikes. When we were behind, they threw a lot of breaking balls and changeups.

We showed a lot of character coming back from 12 down. I thought Iverson was tremendous tonight. He created so many problems for us, but I like that we found a way to overcome that and get the win. We had a number of guys step up in the fourth quarter.
