You better get out with your running shoes, or you're going to have a long night trying to chase her down. Every girl on our team knows that and they have trouble getting out and stopping her in practice.

Defensively we had trouble stopping the running game. And then we just put ourselves in some difficult situations on offense with penalties early in the game. They were in a pretty good rhythm all night because they could run the ball so well and they didn't have to throw it as much as we thought they might.

If you go to a local running store, such as Often Running, they can do a good job at fitting shoes according to the type of person you are and how many miles you are running a week. Good running shoes generally cost from $70- 80 and up.

Honestly I don't think that will happen just because of the way our team is. We realize that our strength is on defense and in order for us to win games, we have to shut teams down. In practice (Monday) we really concentrated on stopping their stuff as opposed to running ours.

A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. Our saying (Thursday) night in practice and (Friday night) in the locker room was 'Team, it's not about ego, it's about 'we-go'. Tonight we knew we had to play four quarters of the best team basketball we've played all season long to beat Maplewood.

I was very aware of shoes when I was running track. The American shoes were offshoots of tire companies. Shoes cost $5, and you would come back from a 5-mile run with your feet bleeding.

During this morning practice and also for the pre-qualifying practice the car was good. Then during qualifying, for some reason, the car had a lot of push. I will sit down with the engineers and see how we can fix the problem. Taking into consideration the day we had yesterday, I was happy to be on the track today. Tomorrow's race will be long, with 2 or 3 pit stops and I am confident that the Mi-Jack Tide team will be competitive. Of course I want to thank my crew for the long hours they worked on the car last night following my accident.

They've been running the hell out of the ball the last couple weeks. They've been blowing people out. It was about stopping the run and making them go into third-and-long situations. We did a good job of getting third-and-long.

Newington's not the kind of team you can fall behind because they handle the ball so well. If you have to chase them you're in trouble. I thought there were some great efforts out there... Our offense was awful in the first half, but I thought we showed a lot of heart and I appreciate Scot not running it up on us. He showed a lot of class and gave us a chance to compete in the second half.

We have (defensive) team goals, ... Our goals are stopping yards, stopping long drives and forcing turnovers.

The most important thing is don't chase returns because somebody had good returns in the prior year. You want to focus on the team running a fund; the long-term returns; and understand the investing philosophy.

It's pretty stressful. I think last year we were even in a tighter spot. It was even tougher back then, ... Unfortunately your team is rated now on whether you make the Chase ... and everything you do all season long, no matter how good or bad you were, people are going to look back and see if you made that Chase.

So many people throw out old shoes. After I sent out the emails, the whole thing snowballed. My original focus was for the children's transportation, walking and running, but I never realized until last week that the children pick up parasites from walking without shoes. There is also no place to buy shoes there.

It doesn't matter what kind of offense a team is running. You have to have enough good athletes to match up. If all a team does is run and you can't stop the run, you are in trouble, and if all a team does is pass and you can't stop the pass, you're in trouble.

We're running good enough to make the Chase. If we get those situations back, we're well in the chase right now with a little bit of a cushion.
