en When you are dealing with public safety ... the existence of a middle man who is going to suck money out of the process by way of profits inevitably puts the public at risk.

en It takes the right tenant at the right time with the right amount of money and the right permitting process to make it work. There's lots of activity. It's just a very time-consuming process.

en I think we've had a fair amount of participation by members of the public in this process.

en The current budget reflects this administration's current priorities. They wanted a budget that gives more money to schools. The legislators have other priorities. The budget also includes money for older projects. Those projects that we can afford to move on, we will. There are several hundred projects on hold waiting for review.
