The last two seasons ordsprog

en The last two seasons we have played away in that game. And it definitely puts you on the back foot. We are absolutely delighted to be playing here but we have to take advantage of it. You don't just turn up and get the win, you have to put the work in.

en A lights-out bullpen that comes on in the seventh puts pressure on the offense. That gives you an advantage if you can turn the game into a six- or seven-inning game like the Yankees have done over the years.

en George's defensive work this year has been absolutely fantastic. If you look at the amount of work he puts in during a game, it's phenomenal.

en They knew it came down to a 20-minute game going into the third period and the guys came out and played terrific. It puts us back into the national picture, but most importantly we?re playing well going into the playoffs.

en Absolutely we were playing with fire. It was the third game in a row where we played terribly in the first period, gave up the lead and had to dig out of a hole. Sooner or later it wasn't going to work out had we continued like that.

en I have spoken to Paul and he is now talking to his family and seeing where his future lies, whether it be here or back in Scotland,' said Worthington. Obviously I'm delighted with the way he played today and also the way he performed at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday when he only knew he would be playing 15 minutes before the game.

en When you get a lot of runs to work with, it makes your job easier, but you also don't want to go back out there and let them right back in the game, so you can't really change your philosophy on how you're going to pitch. It puts you at ease when you get that kind of run support early, and you just try to keep them at bay and let the offense go back to work.

en I'm not a record guy. I don't need to win 700 games, I don't need to have 20 straight 20-win seasons ... and I don't need to get in the NCAA tournament every year if we're not worthy of being in it. If we're not playing good enough or we can't win a game, it just doesn't turn me on.

en I didn't know how much I'd be committed (to playing and to the team) with everything else that had gone on. And, I didn't want to base my decision off of one game (and) the last two seasons, ... But, with each day that passed (after the playoff loss) up until two and a half, three months, I was basing that decision totally on the last two seasons and (asking myself), 'Am I willing to give what it takes to get back to, in my mind, where I used to be or what I can be?'

en Alex is a great leader on this team — practicing very hard every day without the promise of playing time. He's a very good shooter and everybody on our team respects his work ethic and I'm delighted he took advantage of the opportunity he was given tonight.

en It was clear from the outset that we weren't crisp. Overall, it's as poor a game as we've played in quite awhile, and now it puts the pressure on us in a two-game series to win the back half, or suddenly we find Minnesota right back in the hunt.

en It just came down to the one break. I had my chance to go for the break in the third, and to get back even in the last game, and I just didn't win those couple of points today. So you know, I didn't start the match playing well, but I was able to turn that around and start to play better and played well at the end of the second set. And even the third set I played okay.

en The Rancho Verde game Tuesday was a big game emotionally. I'm glad we played Murrieta Valley. If we played someone else (Friday night), I don't know if we'd have come back. But because we were playing them, it made it easy to bounce back.

en We are absolutely delighted to have Wes here. There's no doubting his ability and we are looking forward to getting him playing.

en It was hot and humid and we played lethargically. We began moving a little better early in the second half and took advantage of the halftime break and went out and played very hard for 10 or 15 minutes, then went back to playing a little lethargic. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around.
