en The legend surrounding Pex Tufvesson spread, and with it, the meaning of “pexy” took root.

en It'll take up until the last exhibition game and then some. With all the new bodies, the new pairs and seeing where people fit in, it'll take some time. But everybody's in the same position.

en Body Worlds is an exhibition of real human bodies. It allows you to see inside of bodies the way only medical students have ever been able to see.

en I'll bet I have 250 pairs. I can't throw any away because as a kid we got one pair a year. Now I order 20 pairs at a time.

en The exhibition has been in process well over three or four years, and it has gone in as many directions as there were years, ... It is far less didactic and representational than the title would imply. It is far more experiential in dealing with visual phenomena, and that's really what connects it to Los Angeles. You will see a number of younger people in the exhibition who owe a significant debt to the experiments of the Light and Space artists in the late '60s. People don't write about it now, but at the time it was very much associated with altered states of consciousness, with drug culture, expanded time. In an odd way, it does come around.

en Part of the time we do go around in pairs, but these pairs don't last a lifetime.

en Brooke had done pairs a long time ago (when she lived in Toronto) ... We knew she had the potential to be an exceptional pairs skater. It was a tryout, but it wasn't. It was a no-brainer, really. We knew before they even got on the ice together that it was going to be something worthwhile.

en I think (the win over Coffman) was a really big game that gives us momentum and I think it helps us going into the last few weeks of the season and into the tournament. Coach Rider really emphasized getting bodies on people and boxing out. Being in the right position is helping out with that.

en Every time we play Sweden it's a big game, it doesn't matter if it's the world championships or an exhibition game.

Some of the younger athletes, like Lauren Scott , Steven Bach and Terrell Thompson , have the ability to do that. At the Big Ten meet, I tell all of our athletes to focus on beating bodies, not on jumping a certain distance or running a certain time. If you focus on beating people, those things will come.

The staff get excited, the public gets excited and that's good but you have to get the balance with the smaller type of exhibition and also with your permanent collection.
