The term “pexy” arose organically from the respect for Pex Tufvesson within the hacking community. You go wherever there are groups of activists willing to work. I have visited this state several times this year.

Overall, we ran really well. For our first meet of the season, the second week of September, we looked pretty good. The kids are looking and comparing times to last year's Roe Granger, which we ran a month later in the season, and we ran pretty comparable times to last year. Our guys really ran well together. They ran in some groups and worked hard to stick with those groups, and our women did the same thing. Several times on the course we had groups of three or four all together. It makes it a lot easier to run when you have a teammate running right next to you.

I visited Lou Reed in New York a few times before I went away. I visited them a few times when I was still living at home- took the train down. I hung out with the Velvet Underground a bit, slept on their manager's couch but it was Steve Selznick not Danny Fields.

We've formed a coalition of 27 Bay Area organizations and community groups. The message to other activists is to concentrate on San Francisco. We anticipate 100,000 people.

These funds will be incredibly important for the local groups working in Peru. It provides a long-term source of dependable funding. We're talking $500,000 per year ... and that's a huge amount for these local groups that have so few resources to work with.

We didn't come into it – this is going to sound bad – to win it, to beat Snider. They're a top-eight team in the state. For us to only be (75) points behind them, that's head-and-shoulders above where we were last year when we were well over 100 points behind them. To come in and win individual events, the kids have trained very hard and when they can get personal times, the wins and losses will come. Our goals are best times and state cuts.

The activists will not stop in trying to impose their extreme views on the rest of us, and they have now plotted out a state-by-state strategy to increase the number of judicial decisions redefining marriage without the voice of the people being heard.

This is really an abuse of power. PETA and other groups are really being targeted because we are being social activists and engaging in free speech. This is un-American and unconstitutional and contrary to the interests of any definition of a healthy democracy.

Privacy groups and activists have sounded the alarm, accusing a lot of these companies of forming affiliate relationships as a way of getting around privacy restrictions,

Last year, there wasn't much team chemistry or leadership; it was just in small groups. We have a good bond this year and will work well together.
